Here's an extract from the latest Saga Magazine:
Oomph! Wellness Limited will be supporting Bupa's Winter Wellness campaign by providing fun classes at five community events around the UK designed to help over 65 year olds stay fit and well this winter.
Oomph! classes are a key part of Bupa's Winter Wellness campaign, designed to help older adults across the community stay happy and healthy during the winter months. Oomph! will be providing classes in five community locations across the country during October. Oomph! has also produced a top tips guide, which offers advice on running exercise sessions for residents in Bupa's 300 care homes.
Oomph!'s Winter Wellness initiative comes on the back of it agreeing a major partnership with Bupa to train Bupa staff to deliver Oomph!'s proven exercise and dance classes in 30 of its leading care homes across the UK, ahead of a proposed national roll out across its care home network in 2014.
Ben Allen, the 28 year old award-winning Chief Executive of Oomph! said: "Oomph!'s mission is to transform the day-to-day health and quality of life of older adults everywhere and suporting Bupa's Winter Wellness Campaign is an important part of achieving this goal.
We are proud to be working with Bupa to allow thousands of new people across the UK to benefit from the joy and fun Oomph! spreads. We are committed to putting some extra Oomph! into the lives of so many older adults up and down the country"
Julie Stephens, Director of Learning and Development, Bupa Care Services said: "We recognise how important it is for older people to remain active and how vital it is to provide residents with stimulating activities to help improve their quality of life. This is why Bupa has invested in a pilot to train activity co-ordinators in our care homoes across the UK to deliver Oomph! exercise and dance classes to their own residents".
