1st photo of the Moon (1839)

1st photo of the Moon (1839)

The first ever photo of the moon was taken on January 2nd 1839.  It was taken by a French Photographer named Louis Daguerre. He had become famous in 1822 when he invented the Diorama. Unfortunately, Louis Daguerre’s laboratory burned down in a fire in March of 1839 so we have no record of the first ever picture of the moon.
