A Minute Of Silence Held For The Queen

A Minute Of Silence Held For The Queen

On the eve of The Queen’s funeral, a ‘national moment of reflection’ will be held at 8pm. Community groups, clubs and other organisations across the country are encouraged to take part in this special event. Many around The Commonwealth will come together with their neighbours and families to share in this moment of reverence. The Prime Minister’s official spokesman recently stated that the silence is to “mourn and reflect on the life and legacy of Queen Elizabeth II.” To mark the beginning of the silence, ceremonial gun salutes are expected to be held at Tower Hill and Hyde Park. Members of the public are expected to travel to London throughout the day in preparation for the funeral.
