Dechox Month

Dechox Month

Dechox month is a unique and fun occasion that celebrates saying ‘no’ to chocolate during the entire month of March. Started by British Heart Foundation, this annual event encourages us to take a break from chocolate consumption over the course of one month in support of BHF’s life-saving research. Who knew abstaining from chocolate can have such an impact! Since its inception in 2011, Dechox has been mentioned in magazines and TV shows, especially around March when people look for innovative ways to cut down on their calorie intake.

During this month, people who love chocolate and want to take a break from it pledge to say ‘no’ to chocolate cravings. It’s also an opportunity for them to learn how to resist temptation and practice healthy eating habits. To make things more fun, some people celebrate Dechox month with activities such as blindfolded taste tests of similar snacks or swapping kindle books about healthy eating with friends and family. Dechox month can be a great opportunity to embrace healthier lifestyle habits, or just a chance to enjoy some sweet treats after the challenge!

Here are some simple recipes to help you jumpstart your own dechox process!
