King Charles III Visits Wales

The new King will make his first visit to Wales as the monarch to honour the special place that The Queen held in many Welsh people’s lives and hearts. King Charles III will visit Llandaff Cathedral, The Senedd and Cardiff Castle during his tour. At Llandaff, senior spiritual leaders from the country will gather together in a service of prayer and reflection with The King expected to say some words about his mother’s life and legacy. During their visit to The Senedd, King Charles III and his wife Camilla, The Queen Consort, will received a ‘motion of condolense’. At Cardiff Castle, there will be a reception held and a private audience will take place with the King, the First Minster Mark Drakeford and the Llywydd Elin Jones. The grounds of the castle will be open to the public, offering people the opportunity to share their condolences with The Royal couple and grieve publically.

During this sad time, it is important to remember the Queen’s warm sense of humour and love of laughter.
