Mick Jagger's Birthday
Mick Jagger, born in Dartford in 1943, is one of the founders and the lead singer of Rolling Stones, one of history’s most successful bands. Jagger and his collaborators were influenced by classical blues and early era rock ‘n’ roll when they formed in the early 1960s. The Rolling Stones were at the forefront of the so-called British Invasion which saw British music and culture sweeping through America off the back of the hugely popular The Beatles. The Rolling Stones still tour over 60 years after they began and Jagger has become a beloved icon of musical history.
