Musical comedy film "Blues Brothers“ opens (1980)

The Blues Brother’s was released in 1980 starring John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd and directed by the high-profile Hollywood director John Landis. It features many stars of the music scene and tells the story of two brothers who are looking to make it big in the Chicago jazz clubs. It was well received critically and followed up by a sequel.
