Superman Day

Superman Day

Superman was created by Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster and made his debut on the cover of his own DC comic book in 1938. Inspired by the pulp-science fiction of the time, Superman has become the quintessential prototype for superheroes with his great strength, commitment to doing the right thing and battles with elaborate villains. Superman has been represented many times on screen; from George Reeves’ interpretation on 50’s television to Christopher Reeves in the big budget 70’s blockbusters and most recently Henry Cavill’s take on the iconic character.
