The Great Gatsby published (1925)

The Great Gatsby is a 1925 novel by American writer F. Scott Fitzgerald. The novel was inspired by a youthful romance Fitzgerald had with socialite Ginevra King, and the riotous parties he attended on Long Island’s North Shore in 1922. Although F. Scott Fitzgerald had only sold 25,000 thousand copies of this novel when he died in 1940, today, the now-classic 1925 novel is his publisher Scribner’s most popular title.
