World Alzheimers Day

World Alzheimers Day

World Alzheimers Day is part of the broader World Alzheimers Month which was established by The Alzheimers Society in 2001 to raise awareness of this disease, improve the lives of those experiencing it and put a spotlight on the ways that people can help raise funds for vital research. There are nearly 50 million people living with Alzheimer’s worldwide, making it the most common form of dementia; but through advocacy, there is more-and-more focus on medical research to help alleviate the disease as well as push the destigmatise discussion about the once taboo topic.
