Person Centred Software’s Wellbeing & Activities Platform partners with Minstead Trust to launch activities for and by people with learning disabilities
Together with our new content partner Minstead Trust, the Oomph! On-Demand Wellbeing & Activities Platform, which is part of Person Centred Software’s Connected Care Platform, is launching pioneering activity sessions.
Supporting more than 300 people along the south coast of England, Minstead Trust empower people with learning disabilities to fully develop their individual potential by providing opportunities, enhancing life skills, ensuring informed choice and influencing society.
Minstead Trust provides support that helps people live in their own homes and learn new skills in day opportunities as well as employability programmes that support people to learn new work skills and gain work experience.
Minstead Trust aims to help create a society where people with learning disabilities enjoy fulfilling lives of their own choosing.
Now, we are very happy to announce that Minstead Trust will be the newest content partner for the Oomph! On-Demand Wellbeing & Activities Platform.
Each month, there will be new sessions to be enjoyed on the platform themed for the season, all of which giving your residents the opportunity to learn new skills and expand their horizons.
Lisa Lee, Minstead Trust Regional Director of Care, said: “We are delighted to be entering this national partnership with Person Centred Software and their Wellbeing & Activities Platform to offer wellness, craft and life-skills training produced by people with learning disabilities.
“The sessions will showcase the skills of the people we support and their unique perspective on a range of topics, from gardening and sewing to money management and advocacy. This is a major step forward in our work to show that people with learning disabilities have a huge amount to offer – their talents, personalities and one-of-a-kind viewpoints have the potential to enrich society. To do this, people just need to be given opportunities to show their talents, and this initiative is a prime example of this in action.
“Thank you to Person Centred Software for their support in bringing these sessions to care services nationwide, we can’t wait to keep delivering sessions monthly – all devised and delivered by people with learning disabilities."
