At the start of October, we announced that we were running a competition where care homes could carve a spine-tingling pumpkin creation and be in with a chance to win some amazing prizes!

And now we can reveal that the winners of the competition are the staff and residents of Charrington Manor Care Home!

It was a fun-filled day for everyone at Charrington Manor, as they said on social media: "Today we had an absolute blast with our pumpkin carving activity!

"A few of our residents enthusiastically scooped out seeds and carved some hilarious faces, bringing plenty of laughter and creativity to the room.

"Everyone enjoyed working together, sharing stories, and admiring each other's designs. It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to engage, have fun, and celebrate the Halloween spirit."

On being announced as the winners of our pumpkin carving competition, Claudia from Charrington said: "We are so happy to win, we really wasn't expecting it! The carved creation activities were a lot of fun and the residents had a wonderful afternoon. We were celebrating Halloween when we found out we won and the residents were so happy."

Finishing as the runner up in the competition was Belmont Lodge, who prepared for their Halloween party in the best way possible by carving some amazing and spooky creations!

On finishing as the runner-up in the competition, Dawn from Belmont Lodge said: "We are absolutely thrilled that Belmont Lodge was a runner-up in this year's pumpkin competition! Thank you so much for our prize. We’re excited to use it to purchase more craft supplies for our residents, allowing them to continue unleashing their creativity. Your support means the world to us! Thank you once again!"
